Job description
We are working with a well established secondary school in the Southall area that is looking to appoint a reliable and proactive Teaching Assistant. This role involves supporting pupils aged 11-16 across different subjects, working closely with teachers and other support staff to help students access the curriculum and stay engaged in their learning.
Key Responsibilities for a Teaching Assistant:
* Provide classroom support to teachers and assist pupils during lessons.
* Work with small groups or individual pupils to help them understand tasks and stay focused.
* Support pupils in overcoming barriers to learning and encourage independence in the classroom.
* Assist with behaviour management by following the school's behaviour policies and strategies.
* Help prepare classroom materials, displays and learning resources when required.
* Support pupils with additional needs where necessary.
For this role, you will have:
* Previous experience working in a school or supporting children.
* Confidence supporting pupils across different subjects in a secondary school environment.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
* The ability to commute to Southall or live locally.
Pay Rate: £88.94 - £90 per day (PAYE), depending on experience.
