Job description

We are working with a specialist education setting in West London that is seeking an Assistant Psychologist to support children and young people with additional needs. This role involves working closely with qualified psychologists and other professionals to support pupils' emotional wellbeing, behaviour and development.

Key Responsibilities for an Assistant Psychologist:
* Assist with psychological assessments and behavioural observations.
* Support the delivery of intervention programmes for individual pupils or small groups.
* Contribute to discussions with the wider support team regarding pupils' needs and progress.
* Gather background information and assist in reviewing relevant records to support assessments.
* Work alongside staff, families and other professionals to support pupils' wellbeing.
* Maintain clear records, including notes, reports and summaries of observations or interventions.

For this role, you will have:
* A degree in Psychology or a related field.
* A strong interest in supporting children and young people with additional needs.
* Knowledge of basic psychological theory and behavioural support approaches.
* Good communication, organisational and report writing skills.
* A patient and empathetic approach when working with pupils and staff.
* The ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
* The ability to commute to the West London area.

Days and Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday

Pay rate is dependent on qualifications, experience and skills.
