Job description
We are working with a specialist education setting in West London that is looking to appoint a dedicated Speech and Language Therapist to support children and young people with communication and language needs. This role involves working closely with teaching staff and other professionals to help pupils develop their communication skills and access learning more effectively.
Key Responsibilities for a Speech and Language Therapist:
* Assess pupils' speech, language and communication needs.
* Develop and deliver tailored therapy plans to support pupils' communication development.
* Support pupils with alternative communication methods where required, such as visual aids or communication devices.
* Work closely with teachers and support staff to integrate communication strategies into the classroom.
* Monitor and review pupils' progress and adapt therapy approaches where needed.
* Contribute to multidisciplinary collaboration with education and support staff.
For this role, you will have:
* A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
* Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
* Experience working with children or young people with additional needs.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* The ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* The ability to commute to the West London area.
Days and Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday
