Envision Education is currently recruiting a committed and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Slough. This is a full-time opportunity, Monday to Friday (8:30am-3:30pm), for an immediate start.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and is looking to further develop their experience within a school setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEND
- Assist teachers in delivering inclusive and engaging lessons
- Support pupils with needs such as ASD, ADHD and SEMH
- Help implement individual learning plans and EHCP targets as a SEND Teaching Assistant
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies as a SEND Teaching Assistant
- Encourage pupils independence and confidence as a SEND Teaching Assistant
- Contribute to maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment
What We're Looking For
- Available to start immediately
- Previous experience working with children in a professional setting
- Experience supporting additional needs (desirable but not essential)
- A patient, adaptable and proactive attitude
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to support personal care where required
