Teacher of English - SEND School in Ealing

The Role

You will deliver high-quality English teaching across Key Stages 3-5, ensuring lessons are accessible, engaging and appropriately differentiated to meet a range of additional learning needs. You will nurture pupils' literacy, confidence and communication skills while maintaining high expectations for progress and achievement.

For candidates with TLR experience, there is the opportunity to lead English strategically across the school, supporting curriculum development and driving consistently high standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver well-structured English lessons tailored to individual learning profiles

  • Adapt texts and resources to support varied communication and cognitive needs

  • Use visual supports, scaffolding and structured approaches to develop reading, writing and spoken language

  • Embed inclusive, needs-led practice consistently within classroom teaching

  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants to ensure coordinated support

  • Create a calm, purposeful and well-organised learning environment

About You

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Experience within SEND or specialist settings

  • Confident adapting the National Curriculum to meet diverse needs

  • Skilled in positive behaviour support and differentiated teaching

Monday to Friday, full time.
