Biology Teacher (All Sciences to A Level)
Location: Slough
Salary: M6 plus London Fringe Allowance
Contract: Full-time, permanent
The Role
We are seeking an experienced and committed Biology Teacher to join a high-performing independent school in Slough. The successful candidate will teach Biology to A Level and contribute to the delivery of all sciences across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring pupils to develop a strong academic foundation and a genuine enthusiasm for science.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and challenging lessons in Biology up to A Level, and across all sciences at KS3 and KS4.
- Ensure teaching meets curriculum requirements while encouraging curiosity, critical thinking and independent learning.
- Maintain high standards of teaching, learning and classroom practice in line with the ethos of an independent school.
- Assess, monitor and track pupil progress, providing timely, constructive feedback to support academic development.
- Prepare pupils effectively for internal assessments, GCSE and A Level examinations.
- Contribute to curriculum planning, development and enrichment within the Science Department.
- Support the wider life of the school, including co-curricular activities, trips and academic enrichment where appropriate.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues, contributing to the school's strong sense of community.
- Demonstrate professionalism, reliability and a long-term commitment to the school and its values.

The successful candidate will be a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher with strong subject knowledge and a proven ability to inspire pupils of all abilities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Proven experience teaching Biology to A Level with a strong track record of pupil achievement.
- Confidence teaching all sciences at KS3 and KS4.
- Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Biology and Science education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to high academic standards and continuous professional development.
- Ability to contribute positively to a stable, long-term staff team within an independent school setting.
