This friendly primary school in Hemel Hempstead offers a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with a range of SEND needs and make a genuine difference.
We are looking for a committed Teaching And Learning Assistant to work closely with class teachers and support staff in a warm, inclusive school setting. This full-time position runs Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:00pm, and is available for the full academic year.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Teaching And Learning Assistant, you will play an important role in helping pupils with SEND to thrive both academically and socially. In this role as a Teaching And Learning Assistant, you will:
- Provide tailored support to children with SEND, including one-to-one and small group work
- Help maintain a positive, engaging, and safe learning environment
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals to support pupil progress
- Assist children in developing key skills and reaching developmental milestones
- Encourage positive behaviour and build strong, trusting relationships in the classroom
Requirements:
- Available immediately
- Experience working in a primary school as a Teaching and Learning assistant, supporting students with SEND
- Willing to support SEND children in your role as a Teaching Learning assistant
- MUST have a CHILD-ONLY DBS or be willing to obtain one
- Experience with children in some capacity in the UK, with references available
- Live local to Hemel or within a commutable distance
