Special Needs Teaching Assistant - Watford - Primary School

We are seeking a committed Special Needs Teaching Assistant to work alongside teaching staff and pupils within a nurturing and inclusive environment. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:00pm, available for the full academic year.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils with SEND by promoting their learning, confidence, and personal development. In this role as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide individualised support to children with SEND, both in small groups and on a one-to-one basis
- Help create a safe, engaging, and encouraging learning environment
- Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to monitor and promote pupil progress
- Support children in reaching developmental and educational milestones
- Build positive relationships and assist with behaviour management strategies
This role is ideal for someone eager to grow their experience while making a genuine difference in a primary school setting.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant or in a similar role within a primary school setting
- A passion for supporting children with SEND and a commitment to making a positive impact
- Available to start immediately and able to commit for the full academic year
- Must have or be willing to obtain a DBS check
- Experience working with children, with references available
- Local to Watford or within a commutable distance
