Do you have the resilience and confidence to support children with challenging behaviour? Are you passionate about helping pupils with SEND achieve their full potential both academically and emotionally?

We are delighted to be working with a supportive and inclusive school in Welwyn Garden City, who are seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching & Learning Assistant to join their team. • Establish clear, consistent, and fair boundaries, helping pupils to regulate their emotions and remain engaged in learning.

  • Implement de-escalation strategies and behaviour management techniques to minimise barriers to progress.

  • Work closely with teachers to deliver an inclusive and engaging curriculum adapted to individual needs.

  • Monitor and record pupil progress, offering feedback to support both academic development and personal growth.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting children with challenging behaviour, SEMH, or SEND in a UK school setting.

  • Strong interpersonal skills - confident, calm, and resilient.

  • Full-time availability: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm.

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

  • Based in or able to commute to Welwyn Garden City.
