SEND Learning Support Assistant

We are recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist SEND setting in Hounslow, where you will support students both in the classroom and on a 1:1 basis. You will play a vital role in helping pupils engage with learning, build confidence, and manage daily routines in a supportive and structured environment. The role includes supporting with personal care as part of their daily needs. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is patient, compassionate, and committed to making a positive difference in young people's lives. This position would be well suited to individuals with previous school-based experience, as well as those from a care or support background

The role

• Support students in lessons, both 1:1 and in small groups
• Help students access learning activities and classroom routines
• Work closely with teaching staff
• Support students with complex learning needs
• Encourage independence, confidence and positive behavior
• Support personal care where required
• Build strong working relationships with students
• Share updates with staff and follow setting procedures

What we're looking for

• Experience supporting children or young people, or as a care worker
• Comfortable supporting with personal care
• Calm, patient and reliable

Pay rate is £88.94 - £95 per day.

Pay rate is dependent on qualifications, experience and skills.
