Job description

We're recruiting for an experienced and proactive AV and Events Manager to join a leading school group in West London. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong technical knowledge and a passion for delivering exceptional live events and productions.

The successful candidate will take the lead on all audio-visual (AV) and event requirements, ensuring high-quality support across multiple school sites. You'll combine hands-on technical skills with project management and coordination ability, working closely with internal teams and external contractors to deliver concerts, shows, and large-scale events to a professional standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all AV setup, operation, and maintenance across multiple sites.

  • Oversee the technical delivery of events and productions, including sound, lighting, projection, and recording.

  • Plan and coordinate with teams and contractors to ensure events run smoothly from start to finish.

  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide AV support and guidance to staff where required.

Experience and Skills Required:

  • 3-5 years' hands-on AV management or technical experience, ideally within education or live event settings.

  • Proven ability to manage medium to large-scale events such as concerts or productions.

  • Strong knowledge of AV systems including sound, lighting, and projection.

  • Proficiency with digital audio consoles (e.g. Midas), lighting control systems (e.g. Zero 88, ETC Ion, AVOLITES), and relevant software for editing and streaming.

  • Strong project management skills, able to balance multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required for events.

Desirable:

  • Relevant AV qualification (City & Guilds, AVIXA, or equivalent).

Hours:
Full-time, 35 hours per week. Core hours 7:30am-3:30pm with flexibility for evening and weekend events. Time off in lieu will be provided.

We look forward to receiving your application.
