Year 5 SEND Teaching Assistant (Hounslow - Heston Area)

We are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Heston area of Hounslow that is passionate about supporting every child's unique learning journey. With a strong focus on nurturing and developing pupils with SEND, the school is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support a Year 5 pupil on a full-time, long-term basis.

Key Responsibilities for a Teaching Assistant:

  • Provide 1:1 support for a Year 5 pupil with special educational needs

  • Continuously reflect on and improve your practice as a SEND Teaching Assistant

  • Collaborate effectively with the class teacher and wider school staff

  • Support the delivery of engaging, differentiated lessons

  • Help track the pupil's progress and share observations with the teacher and SENCO

  • Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for the pupil to thrive

For this role, you will have:

  • A minimum of 6 months' experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within a primary school

  • Experience supporting children with SEND

  • A reference to support your experience working with children

  • An enhanced child-only DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one

  • The ability to commute to the Heston area of Hounslow or live locally

Pay Rate: £88 - £95 per day (PAYE), depending on experience.
