SEND (PMLD) Teaching Assistant - Hillingdon

We are recruiting for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Hillingdon that caters to students with severe and complex learning needs, including physical disabilities and non-verbal communication. This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:00pm.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with PMLD, many of whom are wheelchair users and/or non-verbal
Assist in delivering engaging and accessible activities that promote learning, independence, and emotional development
Work collaboratively with staff to ensure the best outcomes for each child
Support personal care and administer medication (where applicable)
Build positive and trusting relationships to create a safe, supportive learning environment
Requirements:
Available to work full-time (Mon-Fri, 8:30am-4:00pm)
Confident and experienced in supporting children or young adults with complex needs or PMLD
Background in SEND settings or care support roles (references required)
Hold or be willing to apply for a Child Only Enhanced DBS
Local to Hillingdon or able to commute reliably
Strong communication skills and a patient, empathetic approach
