A supportive and inclusive school in Welwyn Garden City is looking for a dedicated SEND Teaching & Learning Assistant to join their team on a long-term, temp-to-perm basis.

This role is ideal for someone experienced in SEMH support, behaviour mentoring, or SEND, who's ready to make a lasting difference in the classroom.

✅ Your Role:

Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs
Help students regulate emotions and re-engage with learning using proven behaviour strategies
Support teachers in delivering an inclusive, engaging curriculum
Monitor progress and provide feedback to promote both academic and emotional growth

✅ What You'll Need:

Experience supporting students with SEMH, SEND, or behavioural challenges
A calm, confident, and empathetic approach under pressure
Full-time availability: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm
An Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
Ability to commute to Welwyn Garden City
