We are delighted to be working with a supportive and inclusive school in Welwyn Garden City, who are looking for a SEND Teaching & Learning Assistant to join their team. This temp-to-perm opportunity is ideal for someone with a background in behaviour mentoring, SEMH support, or SEND, who is ready to make a meaningful impact in the classroom.

Your Role:

Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND, including those with social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
Establish firm, fair, and consistent boundaries, helping pupils to regulate their emotions and engage positively in lessons.
Use de-escalation strategies and behaviour management techniques to reduce barriers to learning.
Support teachers in delivering an engaging, inclusive curriculum tailored to pupils' needs.
Track and record progress, providing feedback that supports both academic achievement and personal growth.

What We're Looking For:

Previous experience supporting children with challenging behaviour, SEMH, or SEND in a UK school.
Strong interpersonal skills - confident, calm, and resilient.
Full-time availability: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
Resides in or can commute easily to Welwyn Garden City.
