Job description
We are seeking a full-time SEND Teaching Assistant for a special needs school in Hayes, starting ASAP. You'll support children in KS1 or EfL classrooms, working 1:1 or in small groups. Your role will focus on following EHCP plans and helping students with autism, ensuring they are effectively supported in their learning. This is a great opportunity to work in a supportive and nurturing SEND environment.
Key Responsibilities for a SEND Teaching Assistant:
- Provide classroom, 1:1 and small group support as a Teaching Assistant for pupils including those with SEND
- Work collaboratively, contributing positively to the school team
- Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons
- Observe and assess children's progress, offering valuable feedback to teachers and parents
- Offer constructive feedback to pupils on their progress and achievements
For this role, you will have:
- Previous experience working within a SEND school setting or supporting SEND pupils
- Experience working with children, with a reference to support it
- An enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one
- The ability to commute to Hayes or live locally
Pay Rate: £88.94 - £95 per day (PAYE), depending on experience.
