We're delighted to be working with a supportive and inclusive Primary School in St Albans, seeking a SEND & Academic Teaching Assistant. This role combines academic intervention work with tailored SEND support, perfect for someone who is patient, academically strong, and dedicated to helping pupils thrive.

✅ Your Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils across the Primary phase
Deliver targeted academic interventions in maths, reading, writing, and phonics
Support pupils with a range of SEND, including ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, SEMH, and speech & language needs
Help children build confidence, emotional regulation, and independent learning skills
Work collaboratively with teachers and the SENCO to implement personalised support strategies
Track and monitor progress, sharing meaningful feedback with staff and families

✅ What We're Looking For:

Experience supporting children in a school or care environment
Strong academic background (degree preferred, especially in English or Maths)
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
Able to commute to or live locally in St Albans
