Envision Education are seeking a Teaching Assistant to join an outstanding High School in Harrow. The right candidate will work closely with class teachers to provide support to students across the curriculum with a wide range of special educational needs.

The Role:

  • Support students across the curriculum in Years 7-11
  • Work with students with a wide range of Special Educational Needs, including ASD, social and emotional and behavioural difficulties and physical and learning difficulties
  • Work closely with teachers to keep students engaged and motivated
  • Use a variety of support techniques tailored to the needs of each student
  • Place high priority on the safeguarding and wellbeing of pupils at all times.

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting children and young people
  • A working knowledge of school safeguarding and pupil wellbeing, and a commitment to upholding a high standard of care
  • A positive, enthusiastic prescence in the classroom
  • The ability to support students with a wide range of Special Educational Needs
  • Great communication and listening skills
  • The ability to work well as part of a team
  • Live locally or be able to commute to Harrow
  • Be available to work long term from September
