Job description
**Are you confident, resilient, and passionate about helping children succeed?**
We're proud to be partnering with a supportive and inclusive primary school in Harrow that is seeking a Specialist Primary Teaching Assistant to join their team.
This role will initially focus on providing 1:1 support for a complex Year 6 pupil, helping them to settle into Year 6, establish firm boundaries, and remain engaged in learning. Longer term, your role will expand to supporting pupils across the whole school, making this an exciting opportunity to have a lasting impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide consistent 1:1 support for a Year 6 pupil, helping them to settle, build trust, and remain focused.
Set clear, firm, and fair boundaries while fostering a positive and supportive relationship.
Collaborate closely with teachers and pastoral staff to ensure a consistent and nurturing approach.
Support the delivery of engaging lessons across the curriculum, adapting to individual needs.
Gradually transition into a wider support role across the school, working with pupils in other year groups.
What We're Looking For:
Someone who is confident, firm yet fair, and resilient.
Previous experience supporting children in a UK school setting (ideally KS2).
A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
Availability for the full academic year.
Ability to commute to or reside in Harrow.
Why Register with Envision Education?

Quick and efficient registration with Zoom interviews available.
Roles matched to your location, skills, and preferences.
Rated 4.9/5 on Google by our candidates.
Work with primary, secondary, and SEND schools across London & the Home Counties.
If you're ready to take on a rewarding challenge, support a child to reach their potential, and make a genuine difference across a whole school, we'd love to hear from you.
