Special Needs Teaching Assistant

We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming and supportive school in St Albans. This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm, with an immediate start available. Previous experience working with children in the UK is essential, and experience supporting pupils with special educational needs is highly valued.

The Role of a Special Needs Teaching Assistant:

As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils with a range of special educational needs.
• Work closely with teachers and other staff to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
• Help ensure that every student feels supported and encouraged both in the classroom and around the school.
• Assist with classroom management and daily routines, helping to create a calm and structured setting.
• Play a key role in fostering an atmosphere where all pupils can develop confidence, independence, and a love of learning.

Requirements:

• Available Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm.
• Hold a valid Child & Adult DBS, or be willing to apply for one.
• Experience working with children who have special educational needs.
• Live in or be able to commute easily to the St Albans area.
