Job description
About the role:
A supportive primary school in Hemel Hempstead is currently looking to welcome a SEND Teaching Assistant to join the team. This role involves supporting pupils with additional needs across different year groups, helping to build their confidence within an inclusive environment and supporting them so they are ready to learn.
You will spend your time working alongside class teachers and providing 1:1 support where needed, whilst also helping small groups stay focused and engaged. The school values teamwork, so being able to communicate well and work closely with staff is important.
Requirements:
Have previous experience in a primary SEND setting as a SEND Teaching Assistant
Have worked with children with additional needs and can provide a reference
Hold an enhanced DBS (or be willing to apply for one)
Be reliable, calm and able to travel to Hemel Hempstead
