SEND Teaching Assistant - Hounslow

We are working closely with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Hounslow that prides itself on putting children at the centre of everything they do. With a creative curriculum and a dedicated team of staff, the school is looking for SEND Teaching Assistants to support pupils across KS1 and KS2.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide dedicated 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEND, helping them access learning effectively.

  • Work closely with the class teacher to create an engaging, positive, and supportive classroom environment.

  • Observe pupil progress and share meaningful feedback with teachers, SENCOs, and parents.

  • Assist with classroom setup, lesson preparation, and general support throughout the school day.

  • Offer constructive guidance to pupils, helping them build confidence and achieve their full potential.

  • Reflect on and develop your own practice to contribute positively to the wider team.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting children in a primary school setting.

  • Proven experience working with children (references required).

  • An Enhanced Child-Only DBS on the Update Service-or willingness to apply for one.

  • Ability to commute to or live locally within the Hounslow area.

  • A genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs.

Pay Rate: £88-£95 per day (PAYE), depending on experience.
Role Type: Full-time, long-term position.
