Job description

We are seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic Primary and Nursery school in Southall. You will be required to work in a Reception class and support children with SEN. The ideal candidate will have previous experience with SEN children and has previously worked with children in the Early Years.

The Role:

  • Support children with SEN in a Reception class
  • Use PECS to communicate with SEN pupils
  • Maintain a postive learning environment
  • Assist the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom
  • Develop/ use appropriate resources to enable next steps of learning

Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills with excellent spoken and written English
  • Good knowledge/understanding and successful experience of working with pupil(s) with ASD
  • Good knowledge/understanding and successful experience of working with pupil(s) with Speech & Language needs
  • Good working knowledge and experience of the EYFS framework and working in the Early Years (Nursery and/or Reception)
  • Either live in Southall or within a commutable distance
