Job description

The school is looking for a compassionate and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their KS2 team, supporting pupils with SEMH needs to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.


💡 Your Role:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs, helping them build self-esteem, confidence, and positive relationships.

  • Work alongside teachers to create a safe, structured, and supportive environment that encourages engagement and learning.

  • Use emotional regulation strategies and positive behaviour techniques to help pupils manage challenges.

  • Support academic progress through tailored interventions and differentiated activities.

  • Observe and record progress, offering constructive feedback to staff and parents.


What We're Looking For:

  • Experience supporting children with SEMH or behavioural needs in a UK school setting.

  • A caring, patient, and empathetic approach, with strong communication skills.

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

  • Ability to commute to or live locally in Neasden / Brent.
