Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant - Kingston

Are you an existing Psychology Graduate or soon to be Psychology Graduate? Have you got a passion for being around children? If so then we have a fantastic role for you! An amazing primary school located in Kingston is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their amazing team right away and long term after the summer break. You must be a Psychology Graduate to be considered for this role though all graduates are encouraged to apply as we can find you work in another school.

The Role:

  • As a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant you will be required to support SEN children, particularly those with autism
  • Support children within a primary school setting and help them with their learning and development
  • Assist class teachers in delivering fun and engaging lessons to children
  • This is a long term position with an immediate start date before the end of the academic year
  • Work 1:1 with children or in small groups when required

The School:

  • A two-form entry community primary school close to the centre of Kingston upon Thames
  • Provide education for children from 2 to 11 years in the school and offer a wide range of services and activities for 0 - 5s
  • Empower children with the knowledge and skills they need to leave school as confident, kind and independent young people, instilling core values and the passion to 'dream big' and become successful in whatever their eventual career paths will be
  • Ensure children have learning opportunities both inside the classroom, within the school grounds and beyond
  • OFSTED 'Good' rated school

Requirements:

  • Must be a Psychology Graduate, either existing or graduating this year
  • Available full time and long term
  • Experience in a school setting, in the UK
  • Live local to Kingston or within a commutable distance
  • No previous experience as a Teaching Assistant is needed but you must have worked with children in some capacity
