We have a fantastic primary school located in the Slough area who are seeking a Primary School Classroom Assistant supporting pupils with autism in their educational studies. The role of the Primary School Classroom Assistant is full time role and available immediately.

As a Primary School Classroom Assistant, you will be working with SEN children with autism of Primary school age. As a Primary School Classroom Assistant you will need to provide support to students with Additional Needs and those with Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs)

The Role:

• Primary School Classroom Assistant supporting children with autism and SEN across different year groups within a primary school
• To provide support to students with autism and those with Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs)
• To work with individual students, small groups and support in whole classes within an agreed system of supervision under the direction of the SENDCO and SEND Hub Manager

Requirements:

• Previous experience with SEN either in a previous role or some capacity would be ideal for this role as a Primary School Classroom Assistant
• Previous experience working with children, where a reference can be obtained
• Have a good understanding of the key skills and traits required to be a great Primary School Classroom Assistant for children with SEN
• Be able to work Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3.30pm
• Either live in Slough or within a commutable distance
