What do you need to be a SEN Teaching Assistant?
The school are looking for individuals with a passion to work as a SEN Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant. You will need to share in the school's child focused vision and hold inclusive practice as the utmost priority. Proven passion to work in SEND is essential as you will work to assist the school's dedicated SENCO in delivering inclusive education across the whole school.
I am looking for individuals with a real passion for providing consistently inclusive education practices and is focused on continuing their development in education. They are a growing a new school and therefore the successful applicants will have a long career opportunity here with much room for progression.
Ultimately, the successful candidates should be enthusiastic, strong team players and share in the school's vision for genuinely inclusive education.
What to expect as a SEN Teaching Assistant and the school:-
- Term time only, SEN Teaching Assistant.

- Supporting the most vulnerable learners receive the support they deserve, enabling them to leave school with the skills and resilience they need to achieve their dreams.
- Personalised and clear pathways for progression, ongoing training, support and reviews.
- Annual salary of £23,500. Pro rata for working terms time only inclusive of holiday pay - actual £15,933. Paid monthly over 12 equal months.
- 30 hours per week 9am till 3.30pm (30 mins lunch break)

SEN Teaching Assistant Responsibilities include:
Plan, prepare and deliver assigned programmes of teaching and learning activities to individuals and small groups.
Support pupils in social and emotional well-being.
Support the SENCO and HLTAs in managing the implementation of an inclusive curriculum.
