Performing Arts Graduate Teaching Assistant - Severe SEND Support - Richmond - Up to £14 per hour (PAYE) - Part-Time (9:45am-1:45pm)
Are you a Performing Arts graduate with experience working with children? Would you like to use your creativity to support pupils with severe special educational needs in a meaningful, school-based role?
A welcoming school in Richmond is seeking a dedicated Performing Arts Graduate Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 11-19 years with severe SEND from September 2025.
This is a part-time, term-time only role:
📅 Monday to Friday
⏰ 9:45am to 1:45pm
💰 Up to £14 per hour (PAYE)
The Role:
Support students aged 11-19 with complex needs, including Autism, communication difficulties, and developmental delay
Use drama, music, movement, and creative expression to build engagement and confidence
Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support in a nurturing, structured classroom environment
Aid communication using visual supports and sign language (training available)
Ideal Candidate:
A Performing Arts or Creative Arts graduate
Experience working with children or young people, particularly those with additional or complex needs
Patient, empathetic, and able to adapt creatively to individual learning styles
Interested in a career in education, creative therapy, or SEND support
