Job description

Experienced Learning Support Assistant in Abbots Langley, Hertfordshire needed!

We are seeking experienced Learning Support Assistants to work for a SEN School in Abbots Langley, Hertfordshire providing support for children with autism and associated learning difficulties.

About the school:

  • Special Needs school based in Hertfordshire catering for the educational needs of students
  • They deal wth pupils who have Severe or Profound Learning Difficulties
  • They pride themselves on providing a safe, secure and age appropriate learning environment in which students are able to mature and flourish.
  • They base their work on highly professional standards, mutual trust and respect for human dignity of all its members

About the role:

  • Supporting children with autism and associated learning difficulties
  • Work with pupils individually and /or in small groups to help them overcome learning barriers
  • Implement effective behaviour management strategies
  • Use creative methods of learning to motivate pupils

Requirements:

  • 6 months experience of working with children in a UK school within the last 2 years
  • Experience working with children with SEN is desirable
  • Must have good spoken and written English
  • Team player with a positive attitude towards working
  • Must be available full-time and immediately
