Envision Education are seeking driven Learning Support Assistants to support pupils ages 4-19 with Autism and Additional Needs at a forward-thinking, inclusive Special School. The right candidate will have solid experience supporting pupils in UK schools, ideally with SEN experience.

The Role:

  • Provide the best quality support to pupils ages between 4 and 19 with Autism and Additional Needs
  • Work closely with the class teacher and other support staff
  • Use a wide range of techniques to keep pupilsengaged and motivated
  • Observe and monitor pupils' behaviour and progress
  • Source and adapt learning resources
  • Accompany pupils to therapy sessions as needed
  • Look for and de-escalate challenging behavior

Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting children in the UK
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviour
  • Previous experience working with pupils with SEN
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Highly organised and efficient
  • Local or able to commute to Radlett
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to the classroom
  • Excellent working knowledge of Autism and strategies to support Autistic pupils
