A friendly and inclusive mainstream primary school in Kingston is looking for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to support their Year 2 class. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a lively classroom and is committed to supporting pupils with diverse needs.


About the Role

  • Provide support to several pupils with varying SEND needs

  • Work closely with the class teacher to adapt materials and deliver targeted interventions

  • Support pupils both inside and outside the classroom, promoting positive behaviour and active engagement

  • Assist with daily routines, group activities, and structured learning sessions

  • Help foster a nurturing, inclusive, and well-managed learning environment


Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEND (school or childcare setting)

  • Must have experience with SEND pupils
  • A patient, proactive, and nurturing approach

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • A Child-Only Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

  • Full availability Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:00pm

  • Able to commute to Kingston or nearby areas
