Job description

We are looking for an Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a wonderful infant school in Hillingdon! You will be required to support reception class children with autism and behavioural difficulties. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with children and is looking to start immediately.

The Role:

  • Support students of a Reception class age with autism and behavioural difficulties
  • Work with teachers to monitor progress of pupils
  • Establish positive relationships with the pupils
  • Promote the inclusion and acceptance of children with special needs within the classroom ensuring access to lessons and their content through
  • To support learning by arranging/providing resources for lessons/activities under the direction of the teacher

Requirements:

  • Must have previous experience working with SEN children
  • Previous experience in a school setting is desirable
  • Have excellent English skills
  • Either live in Hillingdon, or within a commutable distance
  • Must be comfortable supporting children with moderate learning needs
