Envision Education is recruiting on behalf of a well-established nursery catering for children aged 1 to 5 years, who are seeking an experienced and dedicated Deputy Nursery Manager to join their team on a long-term basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate early years professional looking to step into a leadership role that makes a real impact.
About the Role:
As the Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Nursery Manager to support the day-to-day running of the setting, ensuring high-quality care and education is delivered consistently. You will support and guide staff in teaching children through play, contribute to staff training and development, and help maintain a safe, nurturing, and enriching learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Nursery Manager with daily operations and leadership.
Lead and mentor staff to deliver high-quality play-based learning.
Assist with staff training, development, and supervision.
Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and EYFS standards.
Build positive relationships with children, parents, and the wider nursery team.
Maintain a stimulating and inclusive environment that promotes early years development.
Requirements:
Level 5 Diploma in Early Years (or working towards it) is ideal.
Previous experience in a senior or deputy role within an early years setting.
Strong understanding of the EYFS framework.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
Reliable, enthusiastic, and committed to providing outstanding early years care.
