Are you an experienced School Mentor?

Envision Education are looking for a passionate and experienced School Counselors for a fantastic SEN School based in Ealing. The role will be part time, and is a long term position for September. You will be delivering evidence/goal based talking therapy in the form of one to one sessions with different students across the school and college.

The schools vision is to be the centre of excellence for students with special educational needs. The work they have done over the years has shown to have a positive impact on their students and their families lives. You should be able to be flexible in your approach, particularly in light of COVID - 19 which may affect your work and to liaise with the school about other services you may need to provide.

About the school:

This is a SEN School that has over 180 students across their 2 site. They strive to ensure outstanding outcomes for all students by never underestimating the potential of each young person. They cater to students from years 7 to 13 and the school work together as a community to help support all of their students.

The role:

  • Deliver evidence/goal based talking therapy
  • Work within the ethical framework of the school and follow the school policy
  • Complete tracking forms to highlight the progress of students
  • Liaise with other members of staff making them aware of any students that you might be seeing and to try to discover further information if necessary
  • Attend whole school meetings and attend relevant training

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualification
  • At least 6 months of experience as a School Mentor or Counselor
  • A patient and caring personality
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Must be available to work part-time from September 2020
