Job description

Are you a registered Therapist looking to working with SEN pupils?

If so, we have an all through SEN School based in Ealing who require a register School Therapist to provide counselling, therapy and guidance for children and young people and with Emotional Social Behavioral and Mental Health needs.

You will provide care that reflects the standards and guidelines of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy BACP and ensure that safeguarding and health and safety regulations are strictly adhered to.

About the School:

The school caters to students from Key stage 1 to Key stage 5, and provide access to specialist therapeutic and learning support that enable them to engage fully in all educational and enrichment activities. They provide a well-rounded curriculum and extra-curricular activities; where individual talents can be spotted and nurtured to ensure that all children/young people experience success and reach their full potential, specializing in creative and performing arts and sports coaching.

The role:

  • Participate in the development of individual support plans for each individual
  • Ensure that each person is treated with respect and dignity in all of their supports
  • Keep accurate and concise therapy notes which are to be stored securely
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare and dignity of children and young people
  • Plan, execute and monitor communication therapy programmes for individuals and small groups of pupils with special educational needs

Requirements:

  • Relevant Therapist / Counselor qualification
  • Experience working with SEN pupils, desired
  • Live local to Ealing, or the surrounding boroughs
  • Available full time and long term from September
