Job description

We are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to work within a fantastic SEN School, local to Radlett. As a Learning Support Assistant you will be required to support children with SEN and work alongside the fantastic team of staff to ensure the safety and wellbeing of pupils at all times. This is a full time, Monday to Friday position (09:00 - 16:00). No previous experience working in a school is required as training can be provided so long as you have a passion for working with children.

The Role:

  • Work with students that have SEN needs
  • Support students with Autism on a 1:1 basis
  • Assist the pupils' individual learning and social needs
  • Look after children's physical, social and emotional welfare
  • To promote best practice safeguarding arrangements throughout all work activities

Requirements

  • Knowledge and understanding of autistic spectrum disorders and the needs of young people with ASD
  • Good written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Have an interest in how children learn and behave
  • Willingness to learn what it takes to support SEN children
  • Live local to Radlett
