Learning Support Assistant

Are you an experienced, passionate Learning Support Assistant? Do you have a background in working with children with Autism in an educational setting?

Envision Education have partnered up with a wonderful SEN School based in Radlett, Hertfordshire, who are looking for talented and committed Learning Support Assistants to inspire their pupils to succeed.

This role would suit someone who has prior experience supporting children and / or young adults with Autism or other complex needs, and are eager to develop a career in a similar industry. We are looking for someone who is lively, enthusiastic with a genuine desire to support children!

About the school:

The school is an all-through special school catering to child and young adults with Autism from the ages of 4 - 19 years and has been judged to be a "Good" school by OFSTED. This school is dedicated to encouraging their students to live full and accomplished lives and strive to achieve the highest standards. About the role:

• Support children and / or young adults with Autism
• Implement creative styles of learning to support pupils academically
• Encourage children to integrate with their classmates and promote social skills
• This role may include personal care
• Foster behaviour management strategies in line with the school's behaviour policies

What we are looking for:

• 1 year of experience supporting children and / or young adults with Autism
• Open to work in a challenging environment
• Confident supporting children with education and social needs
• Access to a car / vehicle is desirable but not essential
• Must be local to Radlett and available full-time from September 2020
