Job description

Do you have experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant? Are you looking to work in a vibrant, dynamic school from September?

Envision Education are seeking an experienced Special Needs Assistant on behalf of SEN and mainstream schools across the borough of Richmond. You will be supporting pupils who have various complex needs on a full-time, long-term basis in a school and area of your preference from September 2020.

We are looking for someone energetic and genuinely passionate about supporting the social and academic growth of children with special education needs. The role would suit someone who has at least 1 year of experience working in a SEN school and is looking to further their career in education.

About the role:

  • Support children either in a primary or secondary setting who have complex learning needs
  • Work 1:1 and in groups and build a rapport with your key pupils
  • Use your knowledge in SEN to offer creative styles of learning tailored to the children's needs
  • Support the classroom Teacher to create an inclusive and positive learning environment

Requirements:

  • 1 year experience as a Learning Support Assistant
  • Experience supporting children with SEN - particularly Autism
  • Energetic and lively personality
  • Must be available full-time and long-term from September 2020
