We're delighted to be partnering with a supportive and inclusive School in St Albans, currently seeking a SEND Teaching and Learning Assistant. This role is ideal for someone who is patient, academically strong, and committed to helping children with SEND thrive both academically and emotionally.


Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with a range of SEND

  • Deliver targeted interventions in core subjects, adapted to individual learning needs

  • Support pupils with ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, SEMH needs, speech & language delays, or other learning differences

  • Help children build confidence, emotional regulation, and independent learning skills

  • Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to apply tailored SEND strategies

  • Track progress and share meaningful feedback with staff and families


What We're Looking For:

  • Experience supporting children with SEND in a school or care setting

  • Strong academic background (degree preferred - especially in English or Maths)

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

  • Able to commute to or live in St Albans
