We're delighted to be partnering with a supportive and inclusive School in St Albans, currently seeking a SEND Teaching and Learning Assistant. This role is ideal for someone who is patient, academically strong, and committed to helping children with SEND thrive both academically and emotionally.
✅ Your Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with a range of SEND
Deliver targeted interventions in core subjects, adapted to individual learning needs
Support pupils with ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, SEMH needs, speech & language delays, or other learning differences
Help children build confidence, emotional regulation, and independent learning skills
Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to apply tailored SEND strategies
Track progress and share meaningful feedback with staff and families
✅ What We're Looking For:
Experience supporting children with SEND in a school or care setting
Strong academic background (degree preferred - especially in English or Maths)
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
Able to commute to or live in St Albans
