Job description

Are you a health care assistant or do you have care experience from a hospital or care setting and are looking for a change? Your skills are highly sought after!

We are working with a specialist needs centre based in Hampton who are seeking a special needs classroom care worker. This alternative centre primarily has pupils who have moderate learning needs many of which who have additional learning needs like complex needs and autism. The school is looking to hire the right person straight away so if you available for an immediate start then apply now!

The School:

  • A Special School based in Hampton
  • Working with SEN children
  • Support varying needs within the class working either 1:1 or 1:2
  • Staff receive regular safeguarding training and follow the school's policies well
  • Aim to provide nurturing, safe and well-resourced environment

The Role:

  • Monday-Friday 8:30am- 15:30 term time only
  • Plan, observe and follow EHCP's for individual pupils who need extra support
  • Look after children's physical, social and emotional welfare
  • Act as a role model and be able to build/support pupils on a daily basis within all aspects of their learning

Requirements:

  • Recent experience of working with special needs pupils, inside or outside a school environment
  • Be committed to working alongside the teacher and be willing to lead lessons or small group work
  • Hold or be willing to apply for an enhanced DBS
  • Be able to work full time 5 days a week Monday to Friday
  • Live locally to Hampton or be able to commute there on a daily basis
