Are you a Qualified Maths Teacher? Do you have experience teaching students with SEN?

Envision Education are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths teacher to work with KS3 students at a high-achieving Special school in Walworth. If you have QTS and are experienced teaching Maths to students with SEMH and Special Educational Needs, please apply!

The Role:

  • Teach Mathematics to KS3 students with a range of SEN and SEMH needs
  • Take part in weekly training and CPD sessions to increase your expertise
  • Facilitate effective, differentiated and child-centred learning
  • Manage behaviour in line with the school's ethos and procedures
  • Keep the learning environemt attractive, positive and tidy
  • Ensure that individual learning assessments are kept up to date
  • Develop short and long term plans to ensure that students are progressing
  • Report to and involve parents in their child's educational, social and emotional development

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mathematics
  • QTS with Induction Year completed
  • Strong ability to teach children with SEN and SEMH needs
  • Outstanding communication and organisation skills
  • Reflective approach to teaching
  • Desire to improve, upskil and attend training
  • Confident managing challenging behaviour
  • Able to cope in stressful situations
  • Creative and child-centred approach to learning
