Are you an experienced Learning Mentor? Do you enjoy working in a PRU School?

If so, we have the perfect role for you! We are looking for experienced and passionate Learning Mentors to support students in a special school, based in West Drayton, for students with social, emotional and mental health needs. You will be confident managing challenging behaviour ad be able to think on your feet.

Students in this school may have had a difficult experience in schools in the past, and need staff members who will be committed and dedicated to helping them succeed.

About the school:

A secondary school that is determined to see that their students leave with academic outcomes that reflects the best of their abilities, able to sustain relationships and employment and maintain healthy households. They follow a reflective and restorative approach with students, as opposed to for or to them. This allows staff and students to work collaboratively in a solution focused thinking manner.

The role:

  • Provide 1:1 with students in the secondary school
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO
  • Help students to develop a love of learning
  • Be creative in building students confidence

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar setting
  • Bachelors degree, desired
  • Understanding and experience working with SEN pupils
  • Live local to West Drayton
