Envision Education are looking for an experienced French and German teacher to lead Year 7 to 11 classes in a great, recently renovated and expanded Secondary School in Slough.

Alongside impeccable French and German language skills, the right candidate will be confident adapting lesson plans and materials to suit a variety of learning needs, and managing behaviour in the classroom.

The School:

The aim of this vibrant Secondary school is to provide students with a dynamic blend of academic challenge, personal development and enrichment experiences that will nurture their potential, enabling them to become confident, articulate and purposeful members of society.

It boasts a state-of-the-art new building, opened in April 2017, which provides an outstanding and stimulating learning environment with modern technologies, resources and facilities for students.

The Role:

  • Teach Year 7-9 German (GSCE German will start in September 2021)
  • Teach Year 7-11 French
  • Prepare students for GCSE exams
  • Work from 8:30-3:30 Monday to Friday until July, with the potential for the role to become permanent during the Spring/Summer term
  • Plan and execute engaging lessons
  • Monitor students' behaviour and progress, and adapt lesson plans and materials accordingly
  • Uphold the school's values and ethos at all times
  • Keep students engaged and motivated thoughout class
  • Ensure that safeguarding needs are met at all times

Requirements:

  • Ability to teach French and German to a high standard
  • Confidence when managing challenging behaviour
  • Able to adapt lesson plans and materials to suit a range of abilities and learning needs
  • Ideally NQT or QT status (highly experienced unqualified teachers will be considered).
  • Able to plan and teach high quality lessons independently
  • Local or able to commute to Slough
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
