Hours: 9:00am - 6:00pm, Monday to Friday

About the Role

Are you an organised, detail-driven administrator with strong SIMS experience? Do you want to play a key role in supporting student wellbeing and school success?

We're looking for a proactive and reliable SIMS Administrator to join a thriving and supportive school community. This is more than just an admin role, you'll be at the heart of the school's daily operations, helping to ensure students are safe, supported, and present, while providing vital data that drives improvement.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Taking ownership of student records on SIMS, ensuring everything is accurate, up to date, and compliant
  • Leading on daily attendance processes, monitoring, recording, and following up on absences quickly and effectively
  • Building positive relationships with parents and carers, communicating clearly about attendance matters
  • Managing sensitive student welfare data, including medical needs and allergies, with care and precision
  • Supporting safeguarding by keeping critical student information current and reliable
  • Producing insightful attendance reports to support school strategies and decision-making
  • Working closely with senior leaders and pastoral teams to support student success
  • Providing flexible administrative support across the school office

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience using SIMS in a school environment
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience handling attendance procedures confidently
  • Understanding of student welfare processes, particularly medical information and allergies
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional, approachable manner
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
  • A team player who can also work independently

Desirable (but not essential)

  • Experience in a similar school-based role
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and data protection in education
